Responsibilities

  • Hiring and training of staff.
  • Responsible for the management of inventory and buying of stock.
  • Negotiating with suppliers.
  • Responsible for attracting new clients and retaining the current client base.
  • Responsible for the safe running of the practice.
  • Handling all complaints in a professional manner.
  • Planning of rotas and work time tables for all staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws. Develop and maintain procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to practices guidelines and procedures.
  • Comply with Health and Safety and COSHH policies.
  • Undertake regular training and liaise with other professionals within the industry and in practice manager jobs.
  • Improve professional standards, quality and safety of care.

Skills

  • Planning of rotas and work time tables for all staff.
  • Maintaining employee documents, writing training plans, job descriptions, adverts, setting and monitoring KPI’s, motivating and encouraging staff and conducting performance reviews.
  • Writing employees handbooks, training manuals and goal setting.
  • Working with the accountant to manage budgets, prepare financial documentation and run the practice within its financial constraints.
  • Market the practice to new clients and build links with the local community.
  • Advocates continuous improvement at all times.
  • Must be able to adapt to change.
  • Possess strong written and orals skills.
  • Good IT ability.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be highly organised
