VetFinders are recruiting on behalf of a leading Canine Services business in Staffordshire. They are an established business, fully registered, top end Breeder organisation, who are well known and respected in their field, even helping some Crufts Champions along the way. Through expansion they are now looking to recruit a Full time Vet, to work alongside them, as they grow and expand further.
Role: Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Location: Newcastle-Under-Lymm, Staffordshire
Hours: Permanent, Mon -Fri 10am-5pm, Occasional Saturday mornings as required, No OOHs
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience up to 50K per annum

About the Business:
This independent, family run business has been running successfully for 5 years. They have made a reputable name for themselves in the market place and have a number of Champion Breeders that travel countrywide for their excellent, expertise and professionalism. Specialising in Canine fertility, they offer Cryogenic storage of semen, artificial insemination, and pregnancy scanning, as well as a retail facility of related products.
Located in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire they are centrally based to work with clients across the UK. With a loyal client base their need for a full time Vet, has increased. This role will be a sole role, with expanding the team into a practice location projected within the next 2 years.
The practice is looking for a team player, who has the same beliefs as the rest of the team – they only work with professional Breeders and ensure high standards of care are met at every step. The owner is a council registered breeder and has been for 9 years. If they find that anyone is using breeding in a negative way, they do not stand for this or condone behaviour such as ‘puppy farming’, in what they do, morally and professionally.
The practice is very flexible, they understand the importance of a work life balance, therefore all applications welcomed of all levels, as well as part time applications.
The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic, Veterinary Surgeon committed to providing high standards of client care. This role will have no surgery within the role, immediately, as the business grows and expands this may become something that is then developed.
The role will consist of duties that include but not exclusive, such as:
- Microchipping
- Vaccinations
- Blood Sampling
- Worming /flea treatment
- Cherry eye removal
- Health checks
- Fertility
As a Vet working for this business, you will have complete autonomy within the role, you will be given the opportunity to develop the role into your own and increase responsibilities accordingly. Your opinions and view will be valued.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis at 5 days per week, 10am – 5pm, no OOHs and occasional Saturday mornings. There is flexibility in both hours and days, to suit the individual. Happy to work around school and/or other general commitments. Work / life balance is important.
