Hours: Permanent, 40 hours a week (part time considered)

VetFinders are recruiting for an independent veterinary practice, located in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland / Scottish Borders. They require an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, with immediate effect. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a wonderful practice whose mission is to provide tailored services, with a keen emphasis on high quality care at affordable prices.

 

About the practice:

The practice is a fast paced, forward thinking, established practice with an excellent reputation within the community. A truly mixed practice, that offers high standard first opinion care. The team is made up of 8 Vets, 4 RVNs, and receptionists across 2 branches. Team spirit is important to the practice, most members have been with the practice for several years.

The Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon, skilled and experienced in general consults and surgery. The role is offered at permanent and full time, but part time applications will be considered. This is a great opportunity for someone to settle and grow with the practice, to make it their forever home.

 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.

 

Hours are based on a rota basis, OOH rota would be 1 night per week and 1 in 4 weekends. Always 2 Vets on call together.

Benefits of working for this successful and well-respected practice are:

 

Pension, RCVS and VDS fees paid, your Birthday day off, day off after a weekend on call for full time Vets, £1000 CPD pro rata included. Certificate funding can be considered subject to training agreement.

 

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • 2-3 years SA experience
  • Possess the right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills
