Hours: Permanent, Full time, 4 days per week, 1 in 8 rota
Salary: VERY Competitive, dependent on experience, from £32-£70k per annum.

VetFinders are currently recruiting for a wonderfully independent practice with a hospital in Sandiway, Cheshire and a standalone practice in Winnington, Cheshire.
The Role:
This is a full time Veterinary Surgeon position, including a 1 in 8 rota with a half day either side of a week night on call, a half day either side of a weekend on call, a set day off each week and the Friday after a weekend on call off too. There is the option to split weekends if preferred – either Friday night or a Sat/Sun is worked rather than a full weekend in one go or even Friday night/Sunday worked with Saturday covered separately. They are open to discussion with individual candidates about which approach would suit their work/life balance best.
Ideally candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience but all qualified applications will be considered.
With a large and varied range of both surgical and medical cases, prospective candidates will be able to consult and operate in a very supportive environment with all the expected facilities.
Within this role you will be given a good degree of clinical freedom to deal with cases but there is always the opportunity to discuss things with a colleague. Support is available from the Veterinary team. Our nursing team also provide a huge support network to all Veterinary Surgeons and they truly care for patients, all are proactive and motivated to provide a high quality, first opinion service.

About the practice:
This practice is an independent RCVS accredited small animal hospital, nurse training practice and gold cat friendly clinic which strives to provide the highest standards of first opinion care for all patients and clients. They are proud to provide 24hr emergency cover.
In addition this practice boasts a second site in nearby Winnington Village – a brand-new purpose-built standalone practice. Here they provide the same standard of care, with only overnight inpatient care and the emergency service being transferred to their hospital.
Currently the practice has nine vets with Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC and Medicine, a very strong nursing team of dedicated professionals that offer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and also a fully supporting front of house team, all experienced and dedicated.
Visiting Specialist vets in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging also attend the practice, allowing provision of fantastic standards of care to all patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases.
