Hours: Permanent, 4 – day week, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 9:30am-11:30am! No OOHs

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience up to 50K per annum

They are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, with immediate effect. This is a fantastic opportunity for 2 years + qualified Vet, that is looking to step up and join a dedicated team of veterinary professionals, with an ever-increasing general practice work load, mixture of consults and surgery.

 

Benefits package:

Benefits of working for this successful and well-respected practice are:

· 6 weeks (30 days) holiday are available, on a pro rata basis with five more days over Christmas, New Year and Easter. 

· CPD allowance of £1,500 is available.

· The full-time post comes a with a practice van, all fuel, servicing etc provided.

· Pension.

· VDS cover and RCVS fees are provided.

· Salary will be competitive, depending on experience

 

About the practice:

 

This independent is a truly wonderful practice. The current owner has worked as part of the team for the last 26 years, taking over the reins from his father in 2018, following retirement.

 

Located in central Scotland, it is a fantastic place to live, very picturesque and with easy access to City life in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

 

The practice is a fast paced, forward thinking, established practice with an excellent reputation within the community. It focuses on development and boasts excellent facilities and a great team environment.  

 

The practice is looking for a team player, who believes communication and trust is very important for owners and therefore will endeavour to excel in this respect. This practice has a very loyal workforce and open positions do not come around very often, it is a stable team with low turnover. This role is available through growth of the practice.

 

The practice is very flexible, they understand the importance of a work life balance, therefore all applications welcomed. Part time, ideally is a 2–3-day week, whilst full time hours is a 4-day week.

 

As a 3-site practice, the main site being in Motherwell, with 2 branch clinics within 30 minutes’ drive of the main clinic in Motherwell.

 

The practice also offers:

The Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic, Veterinary Surgeon committed to providing high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred. The practice would consider applications from all levels of experience. All suitable applications will need to be able to ‘jump’ straight in and hit the ground running, with occasional sole charge, mainly on weekends.

 

This role is being offered on a permanent basis at 4 days per week, no OOHs and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. The working day starts at 9:30am and finishes at 6pm, some 5pm finishes each week. Saturday mornings are worked on rota between 9:30am-11:30am.

 

Prospective candidates will be able to consult and operate in a very supportive environment with all the expected facilities.

 

Within this role you will be given a good degree of clinical freedom to deal with cases but there is always the opportunity to discuss things with a colleague. Support is available from the team.

 

 

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be a team player
