Our client has a vacancy for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team in Beckenham. You will have a passion for emergency and critical care and will thrive on working as a team to deliver the best care to patients at all times.
You will be responsible for dealing with all out-of-hour care within both the hospital and the surrounding clinics. Here, you will work alongside a team of dedicated night staff, as well as having on-call vets and nurses available should you require additional support during your shift.
This is a permanent part time role, consisting of 1 week on 3 weeks off (Monday – Sunday, 7pm-9am). Weekends are included in this pattern. This pattern covers 98 hours on the week that is worked, which equals to an average of 24.5 hours per week throughout the year. The pattern can be discussed, as there will be flexibility for the right candidate.
You must be a registered Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS.
You must be confident working sole charge, with the ability to make sound clinical judgement.
The 24 hour clinic is well equipped with in-house laboratory, two theatres, separate cat and dog wards, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, and digital x-ray. The vet team consists of ECC and feline medicine certificate holders, a further studying towards a surgical certificate and a very experienced ultrasonographer.
A competitive package of up to £60,000 per annum pro-rata, depending on experience
£1,500 CPD allowance with 2 days’ CPD leave and in-house CPD training (pro-rata)
