Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, starting at £40,000 per annum

They are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, with immediate effect. Ideally the practice is looking for an experienced Vet with a few years’ experience in general practice, that is looking to come and join a dedicated team of veterinary professionals, with a mixture of consults and surgery. - Salary from £40,000 per annum depending on experience
- 8.30am to 6pm weekdays. 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.30am to 12 noon.
- No on-call
- 1 weekday day off every other week (or paid as extra if worked when other vets on holiday)
- 34 days off per year including bank holidays (the majority of which are taken in lieu)
- CPD up to £1000 per year

This independent is a truly wonderful, family run practice, established in 2003. Proud to service the local pets of Dalkeith, Musselburgh, Edinburgh, Loanhead, Bonnyrigg, Gorebridge, Penicuik and surrounding areas.
A practice dedicated to providing outstanding clinical services and state of the art facilities, with plans for expansion.
The practice is a forward thinking, established practice with an excellent reputation within the community. The clinic was one of the first to enrol in the RCVS practice standards scheme, as well as being a nurse training practice.

The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic, Veterinary Surgeon committed to providing high standards of patient care, and happy with a good mix of consults and surgery. This role will be joining an existing Vet team of 3, as well as dedicated and experienced Veterinary Nurses and support staff.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis. Full time hours would be 4 to 5 days per week, no OOHs and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, though part-time positions and flexible working are equally considered, every other week is a 5-day week, working between 8.30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday. Saturday working is between 8:30am – 12noon.
The practice would consider applications from all levels of experience. Lots of support and development on offer from this supportive team. Within this role you will be given a good degree of clinical freedom to deal with cases but there is always the opportunity to discuss things with a colleague.
