Role: Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Salary: Competitive, £35,000 – £60,000 per annum. Depending on experience
Hours: Permanent, Full time (4-day week), 1:3 Saturday, No OOHs
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
VetFinders are happy to be recruiting for a wonderfully independent practice, located on the beautiful North East Yorkshire coast, Scarborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Vet, looking to join a supportive, experienced team.
The Role:
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will need to be able and comfortable with a mixture of consultations and surgical procedures expected in small animal general practice.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred. There may be an element of sole charge, therefore, unsupervised capabilities and skills are required.
You will have full clinical freedom, and the ability and option to follow through your own caseloads. Working independently or as part of a supportive team.
Each day the practice has a fixed time for surgery and consultations. Consultations are scheduled between 9 am – 11 am, and 3 pm – 5:30 pm each day. With operations between 11 am- 2 pm. Breaks are scheduled.
Development and progression are important to the practice, as they grow and evolve, but finding the right person is key. The practice is looking for someone to work with the existing clients, and deliver a high excellent standard of patient and client care.
We also need you to be:
- RCVS registered and qualified
- Possess the right to work in the UK
- Compassion and empathic
- Good at communication and decision making
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Be able to problem-solve and multitask

You will be joining an experienced team of veterinary professionals, including another 2 Vets, 2 RVNS, 2 SVNs, 4 receptionists, and 1 ACA.
The practice location is beautiful, set in Scarborough, and centrally located to cover the surrounding area, of Filey, Malton, Driffield, Bridlington, and Pickering, to name a few. Set in the coastal town of Scarborough there is plenty to do in the local area, especially if you are a coastal lover, from walking and hiking, to water sports, nature or simply enjoying a good Fish and Chips!
