This practice is offering a wonderful opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a minimum of 2-3 years post qualified experience (although we would consider a competent new graduate) to join their successful team of professionals. You will be MRCVS registered and be competent in consults and surgery. A high level of competency and confidence in performing routine procedures is a must.

You will be joining a close-knit team, very supportive of each other and they are very much looking for someone who wants to enjoy working as part of a close team and take the job, but not yourself seriously. We all work in collaboration to achieve the best outcomes possible.

Hours – This is a permanent, full-time position, the normal working day is 8.15-6pm. The practice ensures they make time within these hours to allocate time for paperwork, case development and communications to clients. They appreciate that time needs to be allowed for this daily. With this is mind, your lunch break is 1 hour and this is a protected break, no interruptions!
Weekends – working on rota 1 in 4 weekends, Saturday working on consults 8:15am – 11am, then 2:30pm-4pm. There may well be some inpatients – therefore check in and care on a Sunday is required, however  a nurse will be onsite IF there are inpatients at the practice over the weekend. Tuesday is given as a day off after working a weekend.
Out of Hours – provided by VetsNow, however the practice covers their own inpatients care. Therefore, there is a 1 in 4 weeknight cover, mainly via phone for advice as required by the nurse staying over, again as and when, IF there are inpatients at practice.
