Role: 2 x Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – (Days or Twilight)
Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester
Hours: Permanent, 4 – day week, 1:5 weekends, No OOH’s
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience -£30-50k per annum, open dependent on experience and skill level

As an independent practice they are able to action ideas which are presented to them which they believe to be of benefit to clients and colleagues alike. By actively promoting individuals to reach their full potential and follow their own interests. There is always support available from fellow team members many of whom are working towards certificates in medicine, surgery, exotics and ECC.

We would also consider individuals looking for weekend work.
They have two practices, a stand-alone branch practice with surgical facilities, x-ray, ultrasound, in house diagnostics and dental facilities and a larger hospital practice which has the added benefit of endoscopy, therapeutic light laser, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy (provided by a canine physiotherapist).

The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated vet who wants to work in a busy independent practice with a strong support system. The successful individual will want to build up their own client basis and develop good customer relationships, they will want to be part of an expanding practice and enthusiastic about the care we can provide to our patients. They will be happy to work independently but enjoy being part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team who discuss cases and ideas on a daily basis.
As we are looking for two vets, both roles are offered on a permanent basis,
DAY VET – 4-day working week with 1 in 5 weekends (8.30am – 6.30/7pm), following the weekend you get a day back in lieu making the week after a weekend a 3-day working week. We are looking for a full-time vet but would consider part time or flexible working arrangements.
THE TWILIGHT VET – 1 – 10pm shift, the rota for this is very flexible with the current team working a 2 on 2 off, 5 on 5 off rota. Rota can be negotiated for the right candidate.
Applications from vets with a background in Orthopaedics is advantageous and would be of interest to the practice.
There is a good split between consults and surgery, therefore we are looking for a surgeon that is comfortable and able to do both.
Must haves:
- RCVS registered and qualified
- Possess the right to work in the UK
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a team player
- Set personal high standards in patient care and customer services
- The ability to want to grow and develop, personal development
