VetFinders are proud to be working in partnership with this wonderful 3 practice independent, based in Edinburgh and West Lothian, Scotland. They are looking for ideally a 3 year + Small animal Veterinary Surgeon, but will consider all applications.
About the practice:
Independent, family feel, close knit team is all very apparent with this practice. It is a locally owned and run, with strong commitment to giving the best possible care to clients and their pets.
This practice opened its doors 30 years ago, and has grown strong over the years, finding success and developing a fantastic reputation in the local community. Starting as a mixed practice, it soon created a loyal client base and was known for its 1st class reputation. Now the practice is 100% small animal.
The practice boosts great facilities and equipment, including; dedicated dog and cat wards, recovery kennels, digital x- ray (including dental), endoscope, ultrasound, full sterile theatre, laboratory, and a complete, advanced, soft tissue surgical and orthopaedic operating kit.
The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic, Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, skilled and experienced in general consults and surgery, in a small animal, first opinion practice. This role will be based in Linlithgow but some cover of other branches may be required.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred. As sole charge may be required, only on a Saturday, but supported by 2 RVNS with other Vets at different sites for support, as required.
There will be high focus on clinical development, and you will be actively encouraged and mentored to continue your CPD progression.
You will become part of the team, a dedicated member of the friendly, supportive team. Case work discussions, and support to others is important, so to help each other do the best job that we can for our patients and clients in our care.
Work life balance is important to this practice, and as such the hours, you want to work is negotiable, ideally, they require someone who can work 40 hours per week however, they would be happy to receive applications from part time applications also. Full time hours are ideally worked over 4 days, with a weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 9am-12pm. No OOHs as they are covered by VETS ER.
