Salary: VERY Competitive, dependent on experience, £31-34k per annum.

The Role:

Our client is a truly wonderful independent, owner run, first opinion practice, based in North East Wales/Chester border and have 3 branches approx 15/20 mins away from each other – Shotton (Deeside), Rhosrobin (Wrexham) and Penyffordd.

They are looking for a full time or part time qualified vet, to join a mature team of experienced Veterinary professionals. Each member of practice team has an area of expertise from Orthopaedics, cardiology, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, feline medicine, and ophthalmology – just to name a few, and they passionately encourage all Vets to develop their own interests too. The team consists of 8 vets, 6 RVNs and a number of SVNs. A friendly, supportive environment, where team work is essential to help provide the best care for our clients and patients.

The ideal candidate will be willing to help and support the team, understand case continuity for both clients and for the love of their own job satisfaction. You will need to be willing to help and support with case work ups, be a strong team player and want to learn and be mentored by our team of experts.

This role will include an even split of consults and surgery, therefore you need to be able and comfortable with both elements.

The Hours  – They offer flexible working patterns, because they understand the important of being happy at work and home, and creating a good work life balance is key to this. Full time hours, usually 40 hours per week, 2 in 5 Saturday until 1pm, across a 4-day week, including set day off every week agreed. A typical full working day is 8:30am-7pm.

The practice also ensures, this role commits to 15-minute appointments/consultations, scheduled breaks, and set lunch hours – we do not believe in working through lunch, or working late -less totally unavoidable obviously, which is very very rare

We really value our nursing teams skills and rely on them for excellent inpatient care as well as valuing their support in client education through  our proactive nurse clinics and client evenings.

 

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills and be a team player
  • Driving licence required for patient visits and on call
  • Set personal high standards in patient care and customer services
  • The ability to want to grow and develop, personal development

Fiercely independent, 3 branch practice located near beautiful Welsh rivers, mountains & countryside. Including some lovely characterful villages. If you are looking for more night life and city living the Historical City of Chester in on the doorstep, as well as Liverpool and Manchester in easy reach away.  The sea can also be reached in 40 minutes, for those that like the odd Beach Day! Centrally located, in a beautiful part of the country. 40 minutes for good airport links in neighbouring cities.
