At VetFinders we are happy to help recruit for an independent rural practice, with 2 sites, based in the beautiful seaside town of Aberystwyth. This family run practice is well established in the local area and boosts a close-knit team of experienced veterinary professionals.
The practice is looking to add to their team through growth and expansion with immediate effect or early 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Vet, from recently graduated to experienced vets looking for a challenge, to join an expanding team with an ever-increasing case load.

The Role:
As a rural mixed first opinion practice the practice has a varied medical and surgical caseload. They are looking for a confident and competent vet, who is willing to do some sole charge and OOH’s work.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis, hours are worked over 4 days or part time can be discussed. In addition, there is a 1:4 OOH’s rota (1 night a week evening consults followed by on call, one weekend per month which includes Friday evening consults, Saturday morning consults and on call).
Development and progression are important to the practice, as they grow and evolve, but finding the right person is key. The practice is looking for someone to work with the existing clients, and deliver their high excellent standard of patient care. The multi skilled team have strong work ethics to ensure high quality and effective work is carried out to gain the best overall results for the patient and the client.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, although this is not essential. Support is available in order for you to progress your career.
Management and partnership opportunities would be considered for the right candidate.

About the practice:
We are a small, family run independent practice in the heart of Aberystwyth on the beautiful West Welsh Coast. We pride ourselves on our small friendly team and frequently receive comments on our friendly front of house service. We are currently operating from a separate site where we have purpose built a surgical and diagnostic facility. Our main practice is where our reception and consultations are based, the operating facilities there are due to undergo large, planned renovations

- Digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, in house lab
- Equine equipment: powered dental rasp, DR x-ray, ultrasound (repro and tendons), upper airway endoscopy, gastroscopy. 1 day per week technician, Ability to do some procedures in house in our clinic stables.
- Large animal equipment: Ram and Bull semen testing kit, repro scanners
