Location: County Limerick – Ireland
Hours: Full time, (6 month Spring-cover option available).
Salary, Expense and Bonuses: DOE 60,000 – 80,000 Euros, inclusive.
VetFinders are recruiting for our client in County Limerick, Ireland. It is a long-established country veterinary practice, searching for an additional experienced Mixed/Bovine Veterinary Surgeon. The practice is located in the Golden Vale, a region of prime farmland in the South-West of Ireland, and 10-15 minutes from Limerick City.

About the practice:
The practice is a forward thinking, established practice with an excellent reputation within the community. It focuses on providing exceptional care to its clients and their animals. It boasts modern facilities and a great team environment.
There is a large animal ultrasound scanner, a bovine electro ejaculator and a callicrate bander. On the small animal side there is a microscope, an anaesthetic machine, a digital x-ray machine and a dental machine.
There is a full-time veterinary nurse and experienced support staff who organise the work very well.
The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic, Mixed/Bovine Veterinary Surgeon for immediate start; this is a permanent, full time position although a 6-month Spring Cover role is an option. The per species breakdown of the workload of the practice is as follows; 65% bovine, 30% canine/feline, 3 to 4% equine, and 1 to 2% ovine. The per species breakdown of the workload for each vet can be adjusted to suit his/her interest.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience; this is not essential, but preferred, and there will be elements of Sole Charge.
An interest in herd health would be an advantage but not essential, and the ability to cover small animal clinic would be an advantage but not essential.
The out-of-hours rota, which is quiet, would be 1 in 3 from January to June; and 1 in 5 from June to January due to a shared rota with a neighbouring practice.

- Possess the qualification to work as a vet in the EU
- Good communication skills
