VetFinders is happy to be recruiting for a wonderfully independent practice, with three branches located in Truro (hospital), Perranporth, and St Agnes. This family-owned and run practice is well established in the local area and boosts a close-knit team of experienced veterinary professionals. The practice is looking to add to their team through growth and expansion with immediate effect.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will be experienced, with a minimum of 2 years postgraduate, and registered with RCVS.

As a veterinary surgeon, you will need to be able and comfortable with a mixture of consultations and surgical procedures conducted in general practice. You must be confident and competent in the role.

This practice is a close-knit team, looking for a friendly, caring, and competent team player to complement their existing professional team. The team offers not only plenty of experience but also support and dedication in abundance.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis, 40 hours per week, flexible on the rota, in addition to 1 night per week on call, and a share of Saturdays, 8 am – 4 pm, 1 in 4. No Sundays or Bank holidays. Hours and flexibility are offered to all employees as work-life balance is important, and this is recognised. Part-time hours will be considered also.

Development and progression are important to the practice, as they grow and evolve, but finding the right person is key. The practice is looking for someone to work with the existing clients, and deliver a high standard of patient care.

If you have an interest in exotics then the practice does routinely see exotic animals due to interest in these. As well as working closely with charities in the area.

A recent refurbishment in the practice ensures that it is well equipped with all modern technology, including 2 consulting rooms, 2 theatres, and an operating lab, not to mention a dispensary area as well as separate, dog and cat kennels.

This practice offers support, and personal development and encouraged CPD. As a teaching practice, you may also like to be involved with seeing new student Vets and nurses also.
