Job Type: Export Official Veterinarian

Salary: ££ Competitive DOE, laptop, mobile

Hours: 35 – 40 hours per week.

Location: UK Wide – Various Locations

Our client, who is based UK wide, are looking for a number of Export Official Veterinarians to join their supportive, professional team. As Brexit approaches the need to increase the team from 1st January 2021 is imperative, to ensure the growth in commercial demand for Export Health Certification is met, as agreed.

Role

As an Export OV our client would expect you to hold a Veterinary degree and have RCVS registration. You will be expected to:

  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with exporter customers
  • to write detailed reports and understand legislative issues
  • To sort difficult situations through excellent communication and diplomacy
  • To have and gain comprehensive knowledge of the export sector
  • To work closely with clients, attend appointments, in various different locations, therefore travel will be part of this role.
  • Veterinary Degree required in this role.

Must Haves:

  • Driving licence is Mandatory – Cat B
  • Excellent Communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use your own initiative but also be able to follow instruction
  • Flexibility for overnight stays were necessary
  • Ideally Export certification experience

Night Veterinary Surgeon

Our client has a vacancy for a Night Vet to join their small animal practice based in Scunthorpe. You will have a passion for emergency and critical care. You must be registered with RCVS. Experience of working nights desirable but not essential. You will be confident working sole charge, with the ability to make sound clinical judgement.

 

The following hours and salaries can be offered  (dependent on your experience):

 

Full time – 7 nights on – 7 nights off

Salary up to £65,000, accommodation allowance £5,400, vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500

CPD allowance with CPD leave, VDS, RCVS and BVS fees paid

 

Part time – 4 nights on – 10 nights off

Salary up to £37,142, accommodation allowance £3,085, vehicle allowance £1,429

CPD allowance with CPD leave, VDS, RCVS and BVS fees paid

 

Part time 3 nights on – 11 nights off

Salary up to £27,857, accommodation allowance £2,314. vehicle allowance £1,071

CPD allowance with CPD leave, VDS, RCVS and BVS fees paid

The practice is large with 3 consult rooms, 1 double surgical theatre, dental suite, digital x-ray room, prep area, separated dog and cat isolation rooms.Digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, inhouse blood machines.

 

Scunthorpe is located in North Lincolnshire just off the M180 and M18 motorways allowing easy transport links to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln and York.
