The Practice

We’ve been providing outstanding veterinary care in Gravesend and North Kent for over 60 years. Our practice is currently co-owned by David Mason, who took over ownership in 2005 having worked at the practice since 1977. Dave is now retired but still co-owns

While working at The Shrubbery Vet, David was a vet for Radio Kent for five years and is also a former chairman of the Petsavers charity committee. The practice itself – a former vicarage – has previously hosted a Radio Kent live broadcast, and was one of the first veterinary practices in the country to be filmed for Sky TV!

Natalie Devleeschouwer is the other co-owner, and has worked at the practice since 2011. As Clinical Director she is responsible for ensuring that our high standards are always maintained.

Our team of staff all share the same passion for animals and determination to provide the best possible service and treatment to every client who visits the practice. Between them they have a wealth of experience, including ultrasound, acupuncture, dermatology, internal medicine and cardiac medicine.

Over 10,000 pet owners in the Gravesend and North Kent area trust us with the health of their pets and we know our clients expect their pet to receive a top-quality service from an experienced veterinary team

We are proud of our reputation for old fashioned care and cutting-edge medicine. We know that people make the difference between a good and an excellent veterinary practice so we invest heavily in training.

There is ample private parking available at both of our practices, so you never need to worry about accessibility and transporting your pet.

What makes us different…?

  • All our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses keep up to date with advances in veterinary care by attending regular professional development courses.
  • We are an accredited veterinary nurse training practice able to train our student nurses right through to qualification.
  • We are open to see your pet if you are concerned, 7 days a week 365 days a year. You can visit us at a time convenient for you as we are open on Saturday all day for routine appointments.
  • Our Northfleet practice is large and extremely well-equipped, and because we have a large group of clinicians with different skills and interests, we can treat most emergency and non-emergency surgical, medical and dental conditions.

This is a chance to be involved in a growing practice surrounded by a motivated supportive team helping you to do the work you trained to do
