Our client is looking for a dedicated RVN to join their friendly team of 10 vets, 9 RVNs, 4 SVNs, 7 receptionists, 2 practice managers and 4 VCAs. This role will suit someone who is looking for their next challenge working in a busy hospital practice. Ideally you will be wanting to further your career and expand your knowledge in a practice with lots of interesting cases. The ideal candidate will be friendly, and a good team player with excellent communication skills. Your general nursing skills will be excellent, as will your confidence in all areas of general nursing
At this 24 hour hospital practice the caseload is high and variable. They provide their own 24 hour care for hospitalised patients needing intensive post op care. There is a dedicated night team who provide OOH cover for eight other practices as well as working closely with the RSPCA and other local charities. The RVNs are responsible for in-patient care, preparing theatres, taking & running blood samples, placing IV Catheters, preparing patients for theatre, monitoring anaesthesia, assisting surgeons during surgery, cleaning and sterilising of instruments, running nurse clinics and assisting in delivering amazing client care.
