At Vetfinders we are helping a practice in Poole, Dorset find their next hire. They have a new opportunity for a proactive, enthusiastic and experienced Vet to join their team at this Independent, small animal practice.

Role

  • No OOH’s.
  • 4 days pw, 34 -38 hrs pw
  • 1:4 Saturdays, 9am to 12pm
  • Full or Part Time discussed

They are looking for an experienced Vet, looking to take on clinical responsibility and leadership across the practice, to contribute to developing and growing the business.

The role would ideally be 34-38 hours a week over 4 days pw with 1:4 Saturday mornings. A work life balance is extremely important so there is no OOH’s. The consults are 15 minutes, with a good mix of consults and surgery.

As an independent practice, you will have clinical autonomy. CPD is encouraged and supported up to certificate level. They believe in developing the skills of their staff. There are regular Vets meetings, where everyone’s ideas are listened to and clinical cases are discussed.

As the lead vet, you will have the unique opportunity to develop a practice, and make it your own. There may also be options to “buy in” in the future.

This independent practice provides excellence in all aspects of pet care. As a practice, they require an understanding, enthusiastic and patient team player. You must be confident and capable of carrying out all surgical and medical procedures.

The practice aspires to create an environment that offers clinical excellence combined with first rate patient and client care. A minimum of 3 years’ experience is preferred but will consider less for a candidate with the right character, ability, and positive attitude.
An interest in orthopaedics would be beneficial

The Practice
The Pet Health Partnership is a proudly independent, small animal practice in Dorset with branches in Upton and Wareham. They are a training practice and take great pride in their SVN’s consistently sitting at the top of their class. They would love to have a lead Vet enthusiastic about teaching, in order to take on new a graduate vet as well.

The team consists of five vets, 6 RVN’s, 2 SVN’s and a super team of support staff. They are a proactive and driven team, with extremely high standards. They have a comprehensive inhouse Idexx lab, usual digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound.

They’re proud to be a Silver Award Cat Friendly Practice. Their clients are well bonded with a significant number on their practice health care plan.

Must have:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
