Our client has an exciting opportunity for a friendly Vet to join their supportive team based very close to the picturesque Peak District. You will be joining an established team of 2 Vets, 3 Nurses and 3 Receptionists. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct basic consultations and perform routine surgeries such as neutering, dental work, lumpectomies, etc.

The modern practice is fully equipped first-opinion surgery with x-rays, ultrasound, multi-parametre monitor, and in-house laboratory.

Full time – 40 hours per week

1 in 3 Saturdays only.

Our client is looking for an experienced Vet/Clinical Director to support and manage their three practices. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Vet with extensive clinical experience who is seeking to take their next career step. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver outstanding care and service and strengthen the relationship between the branches.

You will manage of a team of vets, including performance management, succession planning and CPD plans. Maintain high clinical standards. Review of profit and loss accounts alongside the wider team and use intuition to highlight areas where savings/opportunities are clear. Identify business opportunities for practice growth. Work alongside the head nurse to ensure that the nursing team is running in the most efficient way. Build and maintain relationships between all staff.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years UK experience, and be able to perform most standard emergency surgeries and manage complex medical cases. You will be a good leader who thrives on developing other veterinary surgeons, new graduates and a nursing team. You will be very proficient in programmes such as Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams. Ideally you will experience of managing teams before.

Full time over 4 days per week plus 1 in 6 full weekends.
