VetFinders are recruiting for our client in the vibrant city of Cardiff. The practice now has plans in place to expand, this means they are in the need of experienced Veterinary Surgeons. They are looking for someone to start in Jan/Feb 2021.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an Award winning, independent and well-respected practice with an experienced team of specialists.

 

The Role:

There are consults and surgeries throughout the week, Monday – Friday. There will be some weekend cover in times of absence.

 

The rota is 5 days a week, 8.30am to 5.30pm with 2 nights pw on-call. No weekends. Rota availability will be discussed if part time.

 

Consulting & surgery skills will be assessed for responsibility and standard prior to being given any sole charger or on- calls

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred. A 3 months’ probation period with a review is required.

This role is not suitable for new grads unfortunately.

 

Benefits package:

20 days A/L + 8 bank holidays a year. (January – December)

RCVS Membership once registered

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their 5 vet practice situated in the heart of the stunning Peak District. This is a friendly and supportive team with friendly clients. There are currently 2 positions available for a small animal and mixed practice 60% small animal and 40% large. This role provides excellent opportunities to be involved in some interesting caseloads. The successful candidate will be comfortable with routine surgical procedures and enjoy building good relationships with colleagues and clients. You will have a positive attitude and want to progress and develop your knowledge and skills further.

The practice has all the usual state-of-the-art technology including digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitors and separate theatre and prep areas. This role is full time but part time applications would be considered.

You will be required to work 1 night per week on call and 1 weekend in 4

Our client is looking for a Medicine Clinician to join their referral practice based in the City of Bath. The referral team includes four surgeons, two medics and an ophthalmologist (this vacancy is for a third medicine clinician). There is also a team of dedicated referral nurses. Facilities include onsite CT, MRI, ultrasound and endoscopy.

 

The successful candidate will be a specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine or an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine. Small Animal Medicine certificate holders close to becoming eligible to register as Advanced Practitioners are welcome to apply. You will have experience to work up complex medicine cases including referrals from other practices within the group. An opportunity to lead the referral medicine team may be available for the right candidate. An experience of a range of diagnostic imaging modalities will be an advantage, but training will be provided where necessary.

 

The role involves 3 to 4 days per week

On call approx 1 in 7 weekends and weekday nights.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis at 40 hours per week, TB testing Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (test and reading patterns), with every other Wednesday doing export work on a rota basis.
