RVN

  • Location: Winchester - Hampshire, Hampshire
  • Type: Permanent
  • Job #777

Registered Veterinary Nurse. £28k DOE.  Winchester.

You became a nurse to care for animals, simple really. A nurse who always wants the best for the patient and practice.
Nursing isn’t about selling petplans, production line consults with profit as the ultimate driver. This isn’t what you signed up for.
You are a good nurse, you want to be the best nurse you can be, learn, help, and give back to the industry you love.

What if we knew of a family-run independent where targets are minimal, a place where you have time to discuss cases with the team, patients come first and you really can make a difference?
Luckily, there are still places like this and this one is hiring.

A modern practice based in the historic cathedral city of Winchester is hiring for an RVN, they are happy with either a newly qualified nurse or somebody who is experienced but it’s a kind caring nurse that is more important to them than previous experience.
With over 65 years serving the community they have a fantastic loyal client base. Everybody is on the same page here with the team pulling together when there’s work, and relaxing when it’s time. Without shareholders and faceless managers, they can invest in the team and practice, therefore they have all the modern toys with a  brand new operating theatre nearing completion.
You will be getting stuck in from the start admitting/discharging patients, nurse consults, operations, ward duties plus dispensing drugs, with the team on hand to help and guide at all times.
No silly hours here they want you rested, refreshed, and at the best of your abilities when it is time to help, so it’s a 4-day week with no OOH, 1 in every 4 Saturdays, 8 am – 12 pm, no sole charge and all duties shared equally.
A salary of £28k DOE is on offer, all fees paid for plus a CPD allowance, they are keen to help you with your personal development.
Voted the best place to live in 2021 by the Sunday Times Winchester combines the best of city life with the freshness of the surrounding countryside. Restaurants, bars, and shopping are on your doorstep with the New Forest, South Downs, and the coast only a short drive away. What’s not to like?
Choosing a new practice is a big decision. You’re a good nurse, who cares and wants to work with like-minded people in a relaxed modern practice.
So, what’s next?
Send your CV (don’t worry if it’s not up to date). We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.
Improve as a nurse with a friendly supportive team.  You deserve it.
