Due to relocation our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vet to join their team consisting of 6 vets and 8 nurses alongside an additional 9 support colleagues. You will be friendly and have excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have good general veterinary skills, ideally with surgical experience with a genuine interest in animal welfare.

The practice is fully equipped with 5 consult rooms, 2 operating theatres, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and full top of the range idexx suite.

40 hours per week

1 in 6 weekend rota

This bright spacious practice is purpose built to industry leading standards and has digital radiography including dental, dental equipment, in house lab, ultrasound, electrosurgery, blood pressure monitor, drip pumps, suction machine and hospitalisation facilities for exotics. The practice is located on the south coast, and easily accessible to London.

1 in 4 weekends, Saturday 9am – 5pm and Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm.

A role has become available in Southend for a Mobile Vet to support our clients’ practices in and around the region. You will be based at their 24 hour hospital.

This role provides excellent flexibility giving you the opportunity to be involved in interesting caseloads. The practice has all the usual state-of-the-art technology such as MRI, ultrasound, laparoscopy and endoscopy. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a close-knit network of friendly vets, nurses and support staff. You will have at least six months of UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent). Excellent career development opportunities. You will be supported and encouraged to work to high medical and surgical standards. You must be a Veterinary Surgeon who is registered with the RCVS. As this is a mobile role, you should have a full driver's license.

The practice is based next to London Southend Airport. It is also a 15 minute drive away from the famous Southend Pier.

Full time – 39 hours a week across 4 working days per week

1:3 half weekends / or 1:6 full weekends

VetFinders are recruiting for our client in the market town of Wisbech. The practice has had a Vet move on, so are now in the need of a Veterinary Surgeon. Ideally a start would be around the November/December time but would consider early 2021.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-respected practice with a very experienced team of specialists.

The Role:

There are consults and surgeries throughout the week, Monday – Friday. 40 hr week over 5 days. 

One morning per week theatre starts at 9am.

Consults are conducted between 9am to 10:30am – then help in theatre with procedures/complete home visits etc.

Surgeries/procedures are conducted in the morning, they only do home visits between 11am to 1pm

Lunch 1pm-2pm (clinic closed)

Consults 2pm to 3:30pm and 4pm – 5:30pm.

Typical shifts per week = 1 x 8:30am to 1pm, 1 x 9am to 3:30pm, 2 x 9am to 6pm & 1 x 9am to Late (usually just to see last minute consults and check any inpatients at 10pm)

1 in 4 Saturday mornings 9am to 12noon.  No OOH.  Only sole charge on the Saturday morning

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred.

This role is may suit a new grad with some experience.
