Hours: Permanent, 40 hours a week, 4 – day week, some on call

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

VetFinders are recruiting for our client in Whitby for a Veterinary Surgeon, with immediate effect.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate Vet of 2 years or more experience.  A new graduate would be considered up to 2 years qualified (or more).  The practice is a mixed practice, 70% Small animal, 20% farm and 10% Equine case load.

About the practice:

A modern practice based on picturesque Yorkshire coastline, boasting lots of local history and of course the most famous count Dracula.  Minutes from the North Yorkshire Moors, an area of outstanding natural beauty. 

The practice is a fast paced, forward thinking, established practice with an excellent reputation within the community for the past 70 years.  It focuses on development and boosts excellent facilities and a great team environment.  Purpose built premises with a recent extension.  Equipped to a very high standard including, x-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope, in-house laboratory and multi parameter anaesthetic machines.

The Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic, Veterinary Surgeon committed to providing high standards of patient care.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred.  The practice would consider applications from new graduates also.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis at 40 hours per week, 4 days per week, working one night per week on call and one weekend in four on call also.

As the practice is mixed, you will need to be adaptable and capable in each area, of farm, small animal and equine, as well as surgeries and consults, varied caseload.  There is excellent support from the clinical directors. 

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
