Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their progressive & expanding practice based in Bolton. They’re looking for a full or part time Vet with excellent general surgical and medical skills as well as experience of emergency surgery. You will be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a strong team player.

The role will include some weekends so you will need to be confident working sole charge when required.

 

No OOH.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and be confident in theatre practice and nurse consultations, as well as promoting a professional image at all times. You will be a good team player and be able to carry out the role effectively with planning and organisation. The role will include such duties as calculating and administering medications and updating records. Assisting the Surgeon during surgical procedures. Confident in running Nurse Clinics, including flea and worming consults, second vaccinations, pre-neuter checks.
 

 

Full time 35-40 hours per week

1 in 4 weekends.

SMALL ANIMAL VETERINARY SURGEON WANTED

Vets4Pets Oldham have an opening for a conscientious small animal veterinary surgeon looking to work in friendly, well established practice that puts patient welfare and client relationships at the heart of its service.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

  • understands and empathises with an owner’s love for their pets and the importance they place on their wellbeing,
  • enjoys building relationships with clients and delivering great veterinary care,
  • works well with others and values the support and contribution of the wider team.

The only other definite requirements are RCVS membership, competence in basic surgery and a share in the weekend rotas. We welcome applications for either full or part-time roles from experienced vets wishing to develop their interests or more recent graduates, who we are happy to mentor.
