Based in exciting Emerald in Queensland, we are working with a modern practice hiring for growth. They are looking for a two year experienced mixed vet. Whilst experience is important a kind emphatic vet who is great with patients is just as important.
This is a business where everyone pulls together when there’s work and relaxes when it’s time – a real community. You will be involved with pregnancy testing cattle and equine work including ambulatory care and reproduction. You will need to have a good understanding of consults, surgeries, and an interest in medicine. Whether it’s simple diagnostic consultations, routine surgeries or something more complicated they see and do the lot.
No two days are the same here so you will be rolling up your sleeves up and getting stuck in right from the start. This is a great opportunity to help build and develop the small animal side of the business, stamp your mark and make a difference.
Working hours – the clinic runs Monday to Friday 8:30 am -5:30 pm, no late consults, 1 hr unpaid lunch break and 1 hr per day scheduled for note writing or work up time. The rota also consists of 1:4 weekends and 1 night per week on call.

We currently have two veterinary practices looking to increase their workforce. These clinics are proud to serve their communities, get amongst the locals and enjoy a great work life balance while still maintaining that crucial family feel.

We are keen for Large Animal or Mixed Animal vets to join us. We provide an extensive range of veterinary services to dairy clients, as well as other production animals, working dogs and companion animals. Developing a culture of ‘team first,’ where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time, is key here. They are a dedicated team with a real focus on well-being who want their best for patients, employees, and the practice.

Due to growth, we require experienced vets (3years+). You will develop as a veterinarian and gain experience by working on your own cases and having key clients. See things through with plenty of mentoring from the highest level of veterinarians. Over time, you can also develop in the management space and learn all about the behind-the-scenes parts of a veterinarian business if that’s what interests you.

Salary is competitive and researched yearly, reviewed with employee’s annually. CPD is actively encouraged and a portion can be used for wellbeing (some people have bought ski passes with their portion, others join the gym or do a photography course!)

You will be working 42.5 hours per week with a sensible OOH rota in place. A relocation allowance is provided, veterinary fees paid, and staff discounts applied for companion animals. A work vehicle, laptop and phone are provided, plus 6 weeks of free accommodation on arrival (if relocating). Plus, there is plenty of ‘food for good,’ when on the go; fruit, nibbles, and snacks to keep you going.
