Social Mission
We are charity focused, giving back to the industry we love.
VetFinders is a leading supplier of Permanent and Locum vets and nurses to practices throughout the UK. We have over 40 years of recruitment experience within our team and work with large corporates, animal hospitals, charities and individual practices. We work closely with our clients and candidates to carefully match both party’s requirements.
VetFinders is a recruitment business with a social mission at its heart. We are more than a recruitment business whose only aim is to make a profit, this isn’t us! We aim to make a profit of course we do but we work with a number of charities giving back to the industry we love. Giving is at the heart of our business, we have worked with the local college Askham Bryan sponsoring two students through their studies, worked with Street Vet advertising their roles for free, donated to a local charity helping disabled and life limiting children with animal therapy plus donated to Blue Cross. We will work with many more charities over the next few years giving back where we can.
Managing Director
I have been in recruitment for the last 15 years setting up an Engineering and Industrial agency in 2004 and building it to a significant business before selling it last year. A very customer service orientated individual I felt there was a lot we could do to improve the offering most local businesses were receiving from their current agency.
Qualtech was known for ‘going above and beyond’ the service levels expected working with clients our competitors were envious of. Due to our reputation we never lost business due to poor service, we had clients stay with us from 2004 which is unheard of in Industrial recruitment. I am bringing the exact the same philosophy to VetFinders with a twist, I have always wanted to give back and help others so we currently work with 3 charities and the local college sponsoring 2 of their nurse students through their studies.
I feel we are a more than another recruitment agency, we are a business with a mission and purpose at its heart to help and give back. Our success will be measured by the amount we give back not by the profits we make.
Recruitment Consultant
After completing my 22 years Army Colour Service, I was offered a 3 years’ service extension in Army Recruitment. During this time, I gained the Certificate in Recruitment Practice. I have worked in the Health and Industrial sectors but enjoy working dealing with the Veterinary Industry the most.
My focus is providing the best service possible for both candidates and clients. Its important that everyone feels that they can add a significant value to any practice. I mainly work with Vets and Nurse but will turn my hand to recruiting staff for any part of a practice.
After coming on board at VetFinders, I feel that this is more than your normal agency. The mission is simple, what we place, we will give something back. By doing this candidates & clients can see we truly have the animals in our hearts. The success of the business will be measured by the amount we give, not by what we make.
Administrator
After graduating in Graphic Design I have spent the last 20+ years working in the graphics/marketing industry. The last 7 years I spent working for a large corporate retailer specialising in home brand packaging.
Looking for a bit of a change – six months ago I became a fundraiser/marketeer for an equine charity and also joined Vetfinders. I am passionate about everything I do and strive to achieve excellent customer service.
Recruitment Consultant
After Graduating in 2005, from Liverpool John Moores University, I started working in the television industry, then into Advertising Sales before finally finding my calling – my first role in recruitment. I never dreamed of a job in recruitment but fell head over heels for the job and a career has blossomed ever since.
Although new to the veterinary industry, I come with 13 years of multi sector recruitment experience, from shop floor to management level recruitment. A seasoned recruiter with a passion for ensuring people find their perfect role, whilst ensuring client satisfaction is matched and delivered.
My focus has and always will be the open and honest communication I have with candidates and clients alike. The important thing is listening to what people want, matching that perfectly and creating an opportunity to make people feel positive and happy about the next step in their career.
I joined VetFinders, as they are a recruitment agency with a difference. The mission is simple, the more people we place, the more money we will give to animal charities, worthy causes close to our hearts.
Operations
A passionate animal lover, Anna runs VetFinders’ back office operation, including accounting, invoicing and processing payroll. She has more than 20 years’ experience working in accounting.
Anna is married to VetFinders Managing Director Chris Worthington and they have two sons aged 12 and 10, along with two cats.
When she’s not working Anna spends a lot of her time taking her boys to various after school clubs and she also enjoys going to the gym and socialising with friends and family.
Anna loves visiting VetFinders’ four partner charities and volunteering for them whenever possible.
Recruitment Consultant
I have worked in recruitment for almost 9 years. My last role was working on-site to support a major high street bank, managing their end-to-end recruitment process. It was a fulfilling role that was highly demanding, fast-paced, and in a challenging environment. My ability to be proactive and an avid planner, as well as reactive to my clients’ needs, proved to be invaluable.
Before working solely on a client site, I spent 7 years, office-based recruiting for a variety of clients helping with their office, administration, and HR needs, hygiene, warehousing, and retail.
My ethos is that I am open and honest with all my candidates and clients. I take the time to ensure I know exactly what they need and want, putting myself to work out in their teams, whether this is in an office or call centre-based role or putting the hard hat on and getting in the warehouse or factory. I have taken the time to really understand their business and what is required to make them successful.
“We were referred to VetFinders through a mutual friend who had used Vetfinders before. We weren’t disappointed, they practice what they preach.“
Helen – Lead Vet, Practice in Surrey
We work with most of the large vet groups, many of the independents, animal hospitals, and charities. We always have several roles we are working on and dedicate our time to listen and understand what drives you, the type of working environment you require, promotional opportunities, and suitable location. Lots of roles aren’t advertised so we can confidentially market your CV to practices and help you secure that perfect role. If that dream role is out there, we will find it for you!
We have over 40 years of recruitment experience in the team and access to a large number of candidates looking for work. Our large candidate pool has helped us place many perm and locum candidates in a variety of roles. Our guarantee to you is every candidate we send will be fully interviewed, completed our detailed skilled matrix and ‘interview ready.’ With our charity led mission and focus on giving back to the industry we love, we find candidates register with us over our competition as they find we deliver a great recruitment service whilst helping those in need.
