Our client is looking for a full time Vet to join their friendly team based close to Birmingham City Centre. You will be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases, with excellent communication skills and a strong team player. The practice provides full support and encouragement for continued personal growth and development. You will be joining a dynamic team dedicated to providing superb standards of care.

This is a full time position – 42 hours per week

Weekends on a 1 in 2 rota basis.

The Role:

You will manage of a team of vets, including performance management, succession planning and CPD plans. Maintain high clinical standards. Review of profit and loss accounts alongside the wider team and use intuition to highlight areas where savings/opportunities are clear. Identify business opportunities for practice growth. Work alongside the head nurse to ensure that the nursing team is running in the most efficient way. Build and maintain relationships between all staff.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years UK experience, and be able to perform most standard emergency surgeries and manage complex medical cases. You will be a good leader who thrives on developing other veterinary surgeons, new graduates and a nursing team. You will be very proficient in programmes such as Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams. Ideally you will experience of managing teams before.

Full time over 4 days per week plus 1 in 6 full weekends.
